Fox Hunter

Liz Howard

Liz is a true dyed in the wool fox hunter with a generational history in hunting and horsemanship. Growing up in Virginia she spent many a day in the barn working with horses and hounds, riding with Loudoun, Bull Run, Rappahannock, Stonewall, and Keswick hunts. After attending Randolph-Macon Woman's College and competing on the IHSA team she moved to warmer climates in Wellington, Florida. With 16 years in the southern winter equestrian capital, and serving as whipper-in for Palm Beach Hounds, she now resides in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. The lifelong passion of fox hunting remains strong as she spends time daily in the kennels for Lowcountry Hunt. In addition to being a whipper-in, her dedication to preserving this way of life has her serving as the Regional Director for the Master of Foxhounds Association's Junior National Field Hunter Championship program which promotes horsemanship, land conservation and the bond between humans, horses and hounds. In 2015, she founded Full Cry Equestrian which specializes in building that unique bond between horse and rider.
